Nebraska Cures is excited to partner with Bio Nebraska to support women in STEM careers.

Nebraska Women in STEM provides professional women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) an opportunity to connect, discuss, and collaborate in an effort to bring awareness and increase opportunities in STEM.

To do this, we:

* Address industry workforce shortages and diversity challenges by providing awareness and education and advocating for women in STEM.

* Create more career and leadership opportunities for women in STEM by providing professional development opportunities.

* Connect professional women in STEM through networking and mentorship opportunities.

Our work is based on the Nebraska’s Women in STEM: Listen Then Act report available here. Listen Then Act is a report that celebrates women in STEM, highlights the barriers they face, and provides recommendations on recruiting and retaining women in STEM careers.
