Nebraska Cures carries out its mission by educating the public and policymakers on health science research and public health priorities, challenging health misinformation, and strengthening and diversifying the research career pipeline.
Science-based health policy is essential for making informed decisions that positively impact our quality of life and economy. By relying on rigorous scientific evidence, policies can be designed to effectively prevent diseases, improve health outcomes, and target resources where they are most needed. These policies also positively impact the economy by lowering healthcare costs through effective prevention and management, increasing workforce productivity, and reducing the burden of diseases.
Nebraska Cures promotes a strong and diverse research career pipeline thought student awards and our Nebraska Women in STEM partnership with Bio Nebraska.
