The sold out Nebraska Women in STEM Conference on March 24 was full of energy, connectivity, and insight. Keynote speaker Emily Calandrelli shared her inspirational story and policy work. A range of topics were covered from building your personal board of directors to building confidence.
One participant shared: “I felt so supported sitting in a room full of other professional women in different fields. I’d been contemplating leaving the work force for my family but this re-energized my desire to stay.”
Another shared: “Many of us struggle with the same issues and many of us have figured out how to thrive, we can help each other get to where we want to be.”
The conference would not have been possible without partnership with Bio Nebraska, the conference planning committee, and generous sponsors.
Work has already begun on planning the 2024 conference and additional events for the remainder of 2023.
Nebraska Women in STEM is a partnership of Bio Nebraska and Nebraska Cures. The goal is to provide Nebraska’s professional women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) an opportunity to connect, discuss, and collaborate in an effort to bring awareness and increase opportunities in STEM.
