We’re excited to announce the official launch of the Nebraska Behavioral Health Coalition.
Over the past two years, behavioral health leaders from across the state have come together through statewide convenings and the Nebraska Mental Health & Substance Use Research Study to better understand the gaps and challenges within our system. Nebraska Cures has played a key role in hosting the convenings and advising the development of this coalition.
This work made one thing clear: meaningful progress will require coordinated and sustained action.
The Nebraska Behavioral Health Coalition has been established to move this work forward, bringing together partners across Nebraska to advance coordinated, statewide action. Guided by research and stakeholder input, the Coalition is focused on the four priority areas listed below.
- Continuum of Care
- Crisis Response
- Data Infrastructure
- Youth Mental Health
As part of this launch, the Coalition introduced a new public website – NebraskaBHC.org – where you can explore research findings, learn more about the Coalition’s priorities, and stay informed about ongoing efforts and opportunities for engagement. We invite you to help amplify this launch in the following ways.
- Visiting and exploring the Coalition website
- Sharing this information with your networks
- Posting or distributing the attached flyer within your organization or community
The Coalition will continue to provide quarterly updates to this network as the Coalition’s work progresses. Please mark your calendars for the next statewide convening on October 21 in Lincoln, Nebraska, with additional details to be shared in the coming months.
